Frequently Asked
Questions

Answers to the questions we hear most often.

We practice baptism by immersion as a public declaration of faith — not for salvation, but as an act of obedience after trusting Jesus. Visit our Water Baptism page for the full FAQ and to sign up.

“Fresh Start Sundays” are the weekends when we celebrate baptisms — whether it’s your first time or you want to publicly recommit. Learn more on our Water Baptism page.

Fresh Start Sundays take place on the first Sunday of each month, directly after the 11:30 am worship experience. See our Water Baptism page for details and to sign up.

Fill out the signup form on our Water Baptism page and a staff member will reach out to help you prepare.

We believe God has always valued, empowered, and used women throughout Scripture — from creation and the Old Testament to the life of Jesus and the early Church. By reading the Bible as one complete story of creation, fall, redemption, and restoration, we affirm that God calls and equips both men and women for meaningful service and leadership according to their gifts.

To explore this important topic with care, we created a teaching series called Women In Ministry. It walks through the full biblical narrative, honestly addresses the challenging passages, and helps us think more deeply about calling and the Kingdom of God.

Whether you agree, disagree, or are still processing, we invite you to watch the series: Watch the series.

We believe God’s design for sexuality, as revealed in Scripture, is expressed in the covenant of marriage between one man and one woman. While we acknowledge that same-sex attraction exists as part of living in a fallen world, we hold that acting on it in homosexual relationships is outside of God’s intended design for human sexuality. At the same time, we believe every person—regardless of their sexual orientation—is made in the image of God and deeply loved by Him. Those who struggle with same-sex attraction can be faithful followers of Jesus by surrendering their sexuality to Christ, just as every Christian is called to deny sinful desires and pursue holiness.

To explore this important and often challenging topic with care and depth, we’ve prepared a full sermon that walks through the biblical narrative, addresses common questions, and balances truth with grace. You can watch it here: watch the sermon.

We welcome everyone to our church family—no matter where you are on this journey.

Yes! We have a Celebrate Recovery ministry that meets every Monday at 6:00 pm. Also, Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) meets at Overflow Church every Wednesday and Sunday at 8:00 pm.

We believe spiritual gifts (charismata) are supernatural abilities given by the Holy Spirit to every believer after salvation for the common good of the church and to advance God’s Kingdom (1 Corinthians 12:4-11, Romans 12:6). These are not natural talents but divine empowerments that include gifts like leadership, encouragement, teaching, faith, healing, prophecy, miracles, discernment, and different kinds of tongues. We are an unashamedly charismatic church that believes all the gifts of the Spirit are still active today and should be earnestly desired, practiced in an orderly way, and used to build up the body of Christ.

Our church is relatively large, we have three different worship times per Sunday, and our church family is made up of people from all over this region, which understandably makes it tough to create meaningful relationships on a Sunday morning, but Small Groups is where all of this changes.
