Song #1 "Praise" By Elevation Worship
This song you'll be playing drums on! 🥁
This video is an example of how the kids can practice without a drum and without any drumsticks. There will be plenty of time for that during Sunday afternoon practice, but at home, the kids can play with their hands. In this video, they'll demonstrate not only how to use their hands but the beat they'll be playing come September 21st.
Song #2 "Glorious Day" By Passion
You'll be singing on this one!
Practice Tips
Practice makes perfect isn't the goal. We believe practice creates confidence. We want the kids to be confident because they'll then be relaxed, and allow them to really have fun.
We recommend at least 10 minutes a day to practice the songs.
Listen to the songs every day. You're thinking, "I'm going to be so tired of listening to these two songs come September 21st. Parents, we get it, BUT the kids' confidence will grow immensely from knowing the song in and out. We call this "active listening," meaning, you're getting to know the whole song and not just one part of it. The practice of active listening helps when singing and playing.
Attending Sunday Afternoon Practice. This will be our opportunity to get hands-on experience with the instruments and singing. This is where we'll get to invest the most in the kids before the big day.
