Who
We Are

A church for everyone, every age, every background, every story.

Our Mission

A Fresh
Start For
Everyone.

We live to give everyone the chance at a fresh start with Jesus and His Church — providing people of all ages, races, and walks of life an opportunity to pursue their full potential.

Our Story

How It All
Began

Overflow Church began with a simple but powerful vision: create a place where people (especially college students) could encounter God in a real and meaningful way. In its earliest days, that vision took shape through a college ministry called the Jesus Movement, which served students attending nearby universities. It wasn’t tied to a single church or background; instead, it brought together students from many different places to experience passionate worship and biblical teaching from leaders across the region. What started with a small group of about a dozen leaders quickly gained momentum, as more and more students began showing up, hungry for something authentic. Before long, the ministry outgrew expectations, even establishing its own space downtown as the energy and impact continued to grow.

What Drives Us

Our 12
Core Values

Everything we do flows from these convictions. Tap any value to dig in.

We are a church of people from varying denominations & backgrounds, but we ALL find common ground at Jesus. The life, teachings and Gospel of Jesus are our foundation and focus.

John 1:1-3 · John 14:6 · Col. 2:6-10

We are committed to the not-so-secret ingredients of spiritual health: Bible study, prayer, fasting, rest & more. It's the private disciplines that make the lasting difference.

Psalm 1:1-3 · Matt. 6:5-18 · Mark 2:27

We value people of all ages, races and walks of life, and we make no apologies for being specifically focused on reaching those who are far from God.

Matt. 22:37-40 · John 3:16 · John 13:34

We say "yes" to following Jesus, no matter the cost, be it personal sacrifice, loving others, repentance, or embracing holiness. Jesus gave His life for us and we do the same in return.

Deut. 6:5 · Matt. 16:24-25 · Luke 9:62

We are, unashamedly, a Spirit-filled, charismatic church who will never cease in our pursuit to know, trust & experience God in deeper and more faith-filled ways.

Acts 4:29-31 · Acts 10:38 · 1 Cor. 12:4-11

We are contributors, not just consumers. Because of God's generosity, we choose to be generous with our time, talents & treasure. And don't forget, we tip BIG!

Matt. 20:26-28 · Gal. 5:13 · 2 Cor. 8:1-4

We are better together. We believe that healthy growth only happens as a result of healthy community. If God thrives in community, we will too.

Gen. 1:26 · Ecc. 4:9-12 · 1 Cor. 12:12-27

We don't do things half-way. We're on time, responsible & prepared. If we're gonna do anything, it's to the best of our ability in order to reflect God in EVERYTHING we do.

Dan. 6:3 · Phil. 4:8 · Col. 3:23

We try new things, take risks, and think outside the box because we believe creativity is the natural result of spirituality. We are new creations created by the Creator to be creative.

Gen. 1:1 · Gen. 1:27 · Ex. 35:35

We prioritize having FUN! We laugh, we smile, we dance, and warning: we get LOUD. As sinners saved by grace, you better believe we're gonna thoroughly enjoy our new life in God.

Psalm 150 · Luke 15:11-27 · John 10:10

We follow and value spiritual leadership. We believe God has gifted everyone with a special something to bring to the table, and we're determined to find that "thing" and celebrate it like crazy.

Ex. 20:12 · Rom. 12:10 · 1 Tim. 5:17

We aim to always model gratefulness with our words, attitudes and actions, because knowing and serving Jesus is the opportunity of a lifetime, and we REFUSE to take that for granted.

Eph. 5:20 · 1 Thess. 5:16-18 · Heb. 12:28

Our Foundation

What We
Believe

All our teaching and ministry is rooted in and flows from these biblical truths, in line with the historic faith summarized in the and .

The Bible is God's Word to all people. Written by human authors under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit, it is truth without any mixture of error and completely relevant to our daily lives.

God is great, all powerful, all knowing, ever present, and completely worthy of our trust. He is our Father: loving, compassionate, and faithful to His people and His promises.

Jesus Christ is the Son of God, co-equal with the Father. He lived a sinless life, offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice, rose from the dead after three days, and will return to reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

The Holy Spirit guides believers into all truth, convicts of sin, comforts us, gives spiritual gifts, and makes us more like Christ. His presence assures us of our relationship with Jesus.

God has existed in relationship with Himself for all eternity, one substance in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Though each serves different functions, they each possess equal power and authority.

The Church is a local community of believers unified through faith in Christ, committed to His teachings, His commands, and bringing the Gospel to the world in love and unity.

The blood of Jesus provides the only way of salvation through forgiveness of sin. Salvation occurs when people place their faith in the death and resurrection of Christ, it's a gift from God, not earned by our own efforts.

We practice baptism by immersion the way Jesus was baptized, symbolizing the death and resurrection He went through for us. It is a public declaration of our new life in Christ.

Colossians 2:12

Water Baptism

People are made in the spiritual image of God. Although every person has tremendous potential for good, all of us are marred by sin, an attitude of disobedience toward God that separates us from Him.

Prayer is the ability to communicate directly with God. Through Jesus' salvation, we no longer need an intercessor, we can address the Father personally and directly.

People were created to exist forever, either eternally separated from God by sin (Hell) or eternally with God through forgiveness and salvation (Heaven). Both are real places of eternal existence.
